In the TFT LCD display module, according to the formation of different reasons and location shape, line defects can be divided into four categories.
They are broken line defects in the screen, short circuit line defects in the screen, short circuit line defects between the terminals, abnormal drive defects, etc.
1. Line defect of broken line in the screen:

2. Line defect in the screen short circuit:
short circuit in the graphics of the display, the screen line that does not need voltage receives voltage.
3. Line defect between terminals short circuit:
Two adjacent graphics display lines short circuit, other unnecessary lines receive voltage.
4. Drive abnormal defect:
The abnormal line defect of the drive is a problem of the drive circuit, and other line defects are related to the process of the display terminal. These line defects can be fixed by adjusting the driver circuit and replacing COF/COG. Broken line wire defects in LCD screens are the most common defects. Broken line line defects are mainly data line breaks, and the design countermeasure of broken line repair can be introduced in the design of the display, which can greatly improve the qualification rate of the product.
The repair method is mainly divided into two design strategies:
1. Off-screen repair design of broken wire: Through the off-screen wiring, the data signal is synchronized to the broken wire that cannot be displayed normally to achieve normal operation of the display.
2. On-screen repair design for broken wires: This can be achieved by pixel design, where the upper and lower parts of the broken data line can be conducted through the path on the pixel, which can save the power amplifier OP often used in off-screen repair design and reduce the product development cost.
