Classification of LCD Modules

1. TN LCD module adopts TN type liquid crystal display

Advantages: Low power consumption, cheap price.

Disadvantages: Because the spin of TN type LCD is only 90 degrees, resulting in a narrower viewing angle, in addition, because the photoelectric response curve of TN type LCD is relatively flat, so the contrast ratio of the display is low.

2. HTN LCD module adopts HTN type liquid crystal display

(High twist nematic) nematic liquid crystal molecules are sandwiched between two transparent glass, between the two layers of glass, the orientation of liquid crystal molecules deflected 110 ~ 130 degrees.

Advantages: High contrast ratio, low power consumption, low driving voltage, and insufficient dynamic driving performance.

Disadvantages: The viewing angle is wider than that of TN type.

3. STN liquid crystal display module using STN type liquid crystal display

Advantages: The viewing angle is wider, display contrast is higher, suitable for the drive of the road number below 240.

Disadvantages: The price is higher compared to TN, and can only display monochrome.

4. FSTN LCD module using FSTN type LCD

In order to improve the bottom color problem of ordinary STN, a layer of compensation film is added to the polarizer, which can eliminate dispersion and realize black and white display.

5. VA LCD module adopts VA type LCD

VA panel is now a high-end LCD application more panel type, belongs to the wide viewing angle panel.

Advantages: Black and white contrast ratio is quite high.

Disadvantages: The high cost of materials, the price will be relatively expensive.
