① Relative temperature T: It is important to ensure that the whole system is nematic phase in the required temperature range, there can be no crystallization phenomenon or other phases appear, such as near-crystalline phase.
② Dielectric coefficient Δε: Adjust the size of Δε to meet the user's requirements for the threshold voltage.
③ Optical anisotropy Δn: adjust the size of Δn to meet the user's requirements for different box thicknesses.
④ Pitch P: an important parameter to decide the box thickness and the amount of chiral agent added.
3. Precautions for the use of liquid crystal
①The influence of ultraviolet light
Destroy the C-C bond, destroy the C chain of polymer, affecting the performance of the above;
② The effect of temperature
Liquid crystal sensitivity to temperature is less than the sensitivity to ultraviolet light. In the process of use, should minimize the heating time of liquid crystal, avoid heating to a higher temperature, for example, should not be higher than the bright spot 35 ℃.
③Effect of environment
A small amount of conductive material is enough to reduce the resistivity, because the resistivity of liquid crystal is in the range of 1011--1012Ω/cm2.
④Effect of container
A good use is hard glass, a high silica-boron glass. Ordinary glass bottles use sodium glass, and the resistivity of liquid crystals stored in glass containers decreases.
