The liquid crystal display module refers to a component that integrates a dot matrix liquid crystal display device, a circuit board, and a drive control circuit. In addition to following the general requirements for the use of liquid crystal display devices, you should also pay attention to:
(1) Take care of the protective film
Before the whole machine is installed, do not remove the protective film in front of the liquid crystal display device before use.
(2) Add pads
For products that require anti-vibration, it is best to install an anti-vibration pad when installing the front panel.
(3) Strictly prevent static electricity
The CMOS drive control circuit is easily broken down by static electricity, so extreme care should be taken to prevent static electricity when operating and assembling. Electrostatic breakdown, irreparable, must pay attention, not careless.
(4) Be careful when assembling
Do not twist the fixed claws, disassemble; do not modify the PCB board, assembly holes, circuits at will; do not modify the conductive strip; do not press, touch, drop, fold, or twist the module.
(5) Pay attention to welding
The soldering time should be less than 3 seconds when the temperature is less than 280°C; do not use acidic flux, use constant temperature solder; repeat soldering less than 3 times, with an interval of more than 5 minutes.
(6) Module use and maintenance
Strictly connect the power according to the sequence of power on and off of the module, that is, the signal level must be input after the positive power supply is connected, and the power supply can only be disconnected after the signal level is cut off, otherwise the module will be damaged. The LCD drive threshold voltage is more affected by temperature ,therefore, Vee should be adjusted to make the viewing angle and contrast the best. Use it within the temperature range of the liquid crystal, and do not use it beyond the range to avoid damage. Pressing hard on the display part will cause abnormal display, which should be avoided. When the surface is fogged, do not power on to avoid damage to the electrodes. Do not use it in the sun for a long time.
(7) Storage and safekeeping of modules
If it is not in use, it is recommended to put it in a polyethylene bag and seal it for storage; keep it in the range of -10°C to 30°C; store it in a dark place away from light; do not put heavy objects on the surface; do not store it under extreme conditions for a long time.
