TTL interface belongs to the parallel mode of data transmission interface, the use of this interface does not need to use a special interface circuit at the end of the LCD driver board and the end of the LCD panel. Instead, the TTL data signal output by the main control chip of the driver board is directly transmitted to the input interface of the LCD panel through the cable. Due to the high voltage of the TTL interface signal, many connecting lines and long transmission cable. Therefore, the circuit's anti-interference ability is relatively poor, and easy to generate electromagnetic interference (EMI).
TTL output interface can be divided into the following categories:
1. A single (or single channel) 6bit TTL output interface
This interface circuit, using a single-way transmission, each base color signal using 6bit data (RO ~ R5, G0 ~ G5, BO ~ B5), because the base color RGB data is 18bit, therefore, also known as 18-bit or 18bit TTL interface.
2. Dual 6bit TTL output interface
In this interface circuit, a dual way is used for transmission. Each base color signal uses 6bit data (ORO~OR5, OG0~OG5, OBO~OB5 for the odd channel, ERO~ER5, EGO~EG5, EBO~EB5 for the even channel), and since the base color RGB data is 36bit, it is also called 36bit or 36bit TTL interface.
3. Single channel 8bit TTL output interface
In this interface circuit, a single-way transmission is used, and 8bit data (RO~R7, G0~G7, BO~B7) is used for each base color signal. Since the base color RGB data is 24bit, it is also called 24-bit or 24bit TTL interface.
4. Dual 8bit TTL output bit interface
In this interface circuit, a dual way transmission is used, each base color signal uses 8bit data (odd way for ORO ~ OR7, OGO ~ 0G7, OBO ~ OB7. even way for ERO ~ ER7, EG0 ~ EG7, EBO ~ EB7), because the base color RGB data is 48bit, therefore, also known as 48bit or 48bit TTL interface.
